Our Team

Ben Williams | 423 Next Coordinator

"Howdy! I’m a beloved son of God and husband to my amazing wife, Macy. Over the past three years, I’ve been blessed to work in recovery ministry with youth, college students, and adults, and I currently serve as the 423 Next coordinator. I’ve witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of pornography and sexual brokenness on people’s lives and am committed to providing hope, healing, and restoration to those affected by sexual brokenness.

I’ve personally seen how deeply impactful it can be to create a safe, vulnerable community, where students can find sexual wholeness, emotional health, and spiritual vitality through the power of Jesus Christ. It’s an honor to walk alongside students on their recovery journeys, remembering my own struggles with shame, isolation, and desperation caused by addiction to pornography, unhealthy sexual relationships, and people’s approval. It wasn’t until I experienced the transformative power of a Christ-centered community in college that I began to walk in the light, free from shame.

Rachel Warneking | Women’s Director

Rachel Warneking is the Women's Director at 423 Communities. As a wife to Joel and mother to three daughters, Rachel experienced the need for a recovery community early in her marriage. After moving to Portland, Oregon, she found solace and healing through 423 Communities. Rachel's journey with 423 began in 2016 as a volunteer and led her to become a member of the Board of Directors in 2019. In 2023, she transitioned into a part-time role as the Director of 423 Sisters.

Rachel is passionate about helping individuals find their identity in Christ and experience true wholeness through Gospel-Centered restoration. She believes deeply in creating a space where everyone can belong, be heard, and be loved, regardless of their story. In her role as Director of 423 Sisters, Rachel is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for women to process betrayal trauma. She finds great privilege in witnessing the transformation that occurs when women come together to engage in parts of their stories that may have been previously untouched. Rachel is honored to be a part of the 423 Communities team and hopes to provide a path for those walking the road of betrayal alone to find community and healing through the program and resources offered.

Joel Warneking | 423 Communities Executive Director

Joel Warneking is a devoted follower of Christ, husband to Rachel, and father to three daughters. His journey in recovery began in 2014, profoundly impacting his life with God's love and transformation. With a passion for reconciling individuals to God and each other, Joel is dedicated to leading youth recovery groups. He believes in creating communities where individuals can be known, loved, and find freedom from shame and addiction through Christ. Joel sees a passion for connecting the family system in health and wholeness, bridging our youth programs with our adult men's and women's programs, integrating them together to provide holistic support and restoration for individuals and families. Joel is honored to serve in various capacities within our Communities, bringing his experience and vision for holistic recovery to life.

April Gaddis | 423 Next Team Admin

I have been working with 423 communities since the Fall of 2018. I love the work that we do here at 423 Communities. Daily, you can see the difference this organization is making in people’s lives.

I live in Oklahoma City with my husband Zachary, son Jayson and our dog Mariah. I have worked as a virtual assistant since 2016 and I love it. Getting to help others accomplish their goals and make their lives easier is truly a passion of mine. In our spare time, my husband and I love to go hiking and spend time outdoors. We also have a husband and wife band called From A to Z that we write music for and gig regularly.

423 Next Trained Volunteer Leaders

Our volunteer leaders are the heartbeat of 423 Next. Without their passion, dedication, and commitment to walking alongside students on their recovery journeys, our ministry wouldn't be possible. Each leader brings a unique blend of personal experience and professional training, ensuring that our students receive the best possible care and support. Our leaders are not just volunteers; they are mentors, guides, and friends who are deeply invested in the well-being and growth of every student they encounter.
